Utah is listed as the #3 in the Top 10 happiest state in the USA based upon Health, Lifestyle and Prosperity.  In the bottom 10 Nevada and Georgia are listed as the most unhappy.

It Happened On This day In Country Music History

1986 George Strait was at #1 on the Billboard country chart with “Nobody In His Right Mind Would’ve Left Her”.

1998 Garth Brooks reaches #1 on the Billboard country chart with a Bob Dylan song,“To Make You Feel My Love”. The song that appeared on Dylan’s 1997 album Time Out of Mind has also been covered by Billy Joel, and British singer Adele.

 

2003 Brooks & Dunn were at #1 on the Billboard country singles chart with “Red Dirt Road”, the title tack from the album of the same name.

2005 Faith Hill released Fireflies, her sixth album. Singles from the album included: “Mississippi Girl“,  and “Stealing Kisses”.

Country Music Fun Fact

During his college years George Strait joined the country band Stoney Ridge, answering a flyer the band posted around campus looking for a new vocalist. Strait later renamed the group the Ace in the Hole Band.
