1988 George Strait goes to #1 on the country Billboard charts with “If You Ain’t Lovin’ (You Ain’t Livin’)”(watch video)  

1989 Garth Brooks gets his very first #1 country single: “If Tomorrow Never Comes”(watch video)

1989 Arista releases Alan Jackson’s first hit to country radio,“Here In The Real World” (watch music video)
