1954 Happy Birthday Bass player Paul Gregg  of Restless Heart born on this day in  Altus, Oklahoma.  Restless Heart is named Academy of Country Music’s Top Vocal Group award in 1990 with a long list of hbits including “I’ll Still Be Loving You”

1977 Dolly Parton’s “Here You Come Again” begins a five-week ride at #1 on Billboard Country Charts.

1983  Happy Birthday Jana Kramer  born on this day in Detroit, Michigan. Known for her acting career  in several TV shows, she nabs her first country hit in 2012 with “Why Ya Wanna” and is named the Academy of Country Music’s Top New Female in 2013.

 

1989 Randy Travis goes to #1 on the Billboard country singles chart with  “It’s Just A Matter Of Time”

1995 “Out With A Bang” becomes the first gold album for David Lee Murphy.  That album included his first big #1 hit “Dust On The Bottle”

 

1998 Faith Hill’s single “This Kiss” goes platinum.

2002 Kenny Chesney’s album “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems” goes double-platinum.
