IT’S  | NATIONAL TELL A FAIRY TALE DAY | NATIONAL PISTACHIO DAY                     (More information available at National Day)  Antoine Domino better known as “Fats” Domino was born on this day in 1928.  He passed away this past October 24th 2017 at the age of 89.

It Happened On This day In Country Music History

1932  J.R. Cash better known as Johnny Cash was born on this date in Kingsland, Arkansas.  He is inducted in the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with such hits “A Boy Named Sue” “Folsom Prison Blues” and “Ghost Riders In The Sky”.  He had multiple Gold and Platinum selling albums and numerous #1 and top 10 hits and appeared in many films.  Johnny Cash passed away September 12th 2003.

1987 George Strait picks up a gold album for “Strait From The Heart” which included #1 hits “Fool Hearted Memory” “Marina Del Rey” and “Amarillo By Morning”The album has gone on to sell multi platinum many times over.

2001 Toby Keith captures a platinum album  for “How Do You Like Me Now?!”which also includes “You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like This”

2011 Luke Bryan reaches the top of the Billboard country singles with “Someone Else Calling You Baby”
