1958 Happy Birthday Mark Miller born on this day in Dayton, Ohio and the lead singer for the group Sawyer Brown  , which begins earning hits after winning “Star Search” in 1984. 1970 Happy Birthday Wright  born on this day in Kansas City, Missouri. She is named the ACM Top New Female award in 1995 and earns a #1 hit in 1999 with “Single White Female.”

1984 Alabama is the first country group to go triple-platinum, with the albums “Feels So Right” and “Mountain Music” each certified for shipment of three million copies. The albums “Roll On” and “The Closer You Get” also reach double-platinum status.

1997 Tim McGraw’s single “Everywhere” travels to #1 on the Billboard country chart.

2010 Big Machine releases Taylor Swift’s album “Speak Now” singles released to radio included “Mean, The Story of Us, and Sparks Fly.
