Miranda Lambert Stops Singing Mid-Concert…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFCmlB5AsrI

At a show last week in Hartford, Connecticut on Friday, August 19th Miranda Lambert brought her concert to a screeching halt in the middle of the song “The House That Built Me” due to a fan, but not for the reason you would expect. She noticed a sign in the crowd that said “3 combat tours. [Your] voice was the last thing I listened to EVERY NIGHT! THANK YOU!!!”

Lambert stopped singing her song the second she noticed the sign, she walked over and picked up the white poster board and held it up high and proud for everyone at the show to see, before showing it to her band. The video clip below shows her crying happy tears as she is reading it and showing it off. She set the sign upon the stage by her microphone stand and tried to continue the song before wiping tears from her eyes. Unable to get through it, she had her hand over her heart and was mouthing “thank you’ to the veteran, who was also in the crowd, crying.

Seeing Miranda cry and be so thankful over a fan sign shows how down to earth and humble this country artist really is. She tried to finish the song but was too choked up, so she motioned for the crowd to finish the song for her, truly a beautiful moment. With a heart as kind as hers, Miranda Lambert might just be my new “Vice.”
