12 Country Songs From The 90’s That Will Get Stuck In Your Head

90’s Country… Is there anything better? Whether it was your first kiss, your first love, first road trip, or first dance, there was probably a 90’s Country song providing the soundtrack for that special moment. Of course, the best of them are the songs that are so good and bring back so many memories that you can’t get them out of your head.

While there are dozens of songs that could have made this list, this is our list of 12 songs we know will get stuck in your head.

12. Brooks & Dunn – “My Maria”

“Marieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-eeeeeeeeeee-eee-ee-ia!”

11. Trisha Yearwood – “She’s In Love With The Boy”

Katie and Tommy… One horse town… watching chickens eat… back seat at the drive-in… getting engaged at the Tasty Freeze (Ever see the episode of Friday Night Lights where Matt and Julie got engaged at the Alamo Freeze?). By the time this song was over you knew Katie would run away just to marry Tommy, and you would run away to marry whoever you were in love with that week.

10. Faith Hill – “This Kiss”

Besides giving us a vocabulary lesson (centrifugal, perpetual, pivotal, etc…) this song is so catchy you’re probably singing it right now.

9. Lonestar – “Amazed”

This was the song you saved for that special someone at your high school dance. You still get that feeling inside you every time you hear this song.

8. Brooks & Dunn – “Boot Scootin’ Boogie”

Everyone’s first line dance! Ok, maybe not everyone, but that statement is true for a lot of people. Come on baby, let’s go!!

7. Shania Twain – “You’re Still The One”

You heard this song and were *convinced* that Shania was singing it directly to you. And you fell in love with her. And it’s still stuck in your head.

6. Dixie Chicks – “Wide Open Spaces”

All you want is the freedom this song made you crave. You were going to get to your very own wide open space and the Dixie Chicks were going to take you there.

5. John Michael Montgomery – “I Swear”

If mix tapes were still a thing you would put this song on one.

4. Garth Brooks – “The Dance”

Sorry you can’t listen to this song here… Garth doesn’t seem to be a fan of putting his music on the Internet. It doesn’t really matter though because by reading the title alone you got this song stuck in your head.

3. Tim McGraw – “I Like It, I Love It”

You like this song. You love this song. You want some more of this song.

2. Little Texas – “God Blessed Texas”

This song made everyone believe that Texas was the greatest place on the planet and that God had, in fact, blessed it.

1. Billy Ray Cyrus – “Achy Breaky Heart”

Ha ha… Now you’ll be singing this song to yourself all day. You’re welcome.

Here’s the whole playlist, minus the Garth Brooks track:
