10 Worst Best Picture Winners, and What Should Have Won

Are you into the Academy Awards like my family? For example, we throw an annual Oscar’s party to watch with family and friends. I kow…it’s a little weird. From time to time, you’ll see a Best Picture Winner that makes you scratch your head and say “whaaaaaa???”.

“Business Insider” did a list of the 10 Worst movies to win Best Picture, and the movies that SHOULD HAVE won instead. Here you go!

1.  “Shakespeare in Love”, 1998.  But the winner should have been:  “Saving Private Ryan”.

 

2.  “How Green was My Valley”, 1941.  But the winner should have been:  “Citizen Kane”.

 

3.  “Crash”, 2005.  But the movie that should have won was:  “Brokeback Mountain”.

 

4.  “Dances with Wolves”, 1990.  But the movie that should have won was:  “Goodfellas”.

 

5.  “Argo”, 2012.  But the movie that should have won was:  “Zero Dark Thirty”.

 

6.  “Chicago”, 2002.  But the movie that should have won was:  “The Pianist”.

 

7.  “The King’s Speech”, 2010.  Should have won:  “The Social Network”

 

8.  “Titanic”, 1997.  But the movie that should have won was:  “L.A. Confidential”.

 

9.  “Ordinary People”, 1980.  But the movie the should have won was:  “Raging Bull”.

 

10.  “Around the World in 80 Days”, 1956.  But the winner should have been:  “The Ten Commandments”.
